KOLKATA, April 29, 2021: Indian stock indices continued to rise for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex surged 789.70 points to close at 49,733.84, while the Nifty50 rose 211.50 points to 14,864.55.

Bajaj Finance Ltd was the top gainer on the Nifty50 index, followed by Eicher Motors Ltd. Britannia Industries Ltd was the top loser on the index, with Hindalco Industries following suit.

The S&P 500 fell 3.54% to close at 4,183.18 on April 28, two days after surging to an all-time high of 4,187.62. The Tokyo-based Nikkei 225 closed in the green at 29,053.97, gaining 0.21%.

The Hong Kong Hang Seng Index climbed 129.80 to close at 29,326.12 on Wednesday.
